Maria Luisa Zulueta

Colors, shapes and textures have attracted me since I was a child but my first encounter with painting was with Swiss/Egyptian artist Margot Veillon whilst I was living in Egypt.

As a Chilean who has lived in many different places and cultures I have had to re-define my sense of place and identity many times over and my work has been directly affected by it.

Having studied at the Corcoran School of Arts in Washington, D.C. and privately with various professional artists amongst others American artist Maxine Masterfield, painting for me represents a meditation, a means to get in touch with my inner self.
